Art for me means an escape from everyday. It is also a way to express myself. Nevertheless, I would be lying if I said that art is not for others. Although I love the ritual of creating art, at the end, information technology feels really good when someone gives y'all a positive comment. Information technology helps to keep pushing to keep creating.

Art keeps my head on my shoulders. Fine art is a way to focus my energy. If it wasn't for art, I would constantly exist in a very dark place within myself. I recollect art can represent so many things, for me, it often represents my feelings well-nigh the world in i way or some other.

Definitely both. Equally a graphic designer, while you are still CREATING something, it is in no way for yourself. You're limited by your clients vision and that is non art, it's work. That's why I experience similar it's so of import to have time to merely get crazy outside of piece of work for yourself, and keep those creative ideas flowing. Like an outlet. My favorite way to allow loose and limited my inventiveness is through paw-lettering and practicing watercolors. I actually enjoy sketchbook journaling likewise considering it really relaxes me!

Art kerps me sain. Art is an adiction - the more you depict, the more you lot wanna draw, the more y'all demand to draw. If I don't draw in a long time it makes me crazy.. I think its kind of both. On 1 hand y'all take clients and y'all need to create things they dear and want to buy. On the other paw you draw things you like and want to create (or you would not wanna draw and nothing will comes right and no one will purchase it..). So its a little from both and more, i think.

I work in several very different mediums only at that place really is one that has started to ascertain me. It has become who I am both to me and to others. I find information technology then easy, natural and effortless. I like to do other things to experiment but I think it'southward at present what expect from me. I'll requite them all a shock one twenty-four hour period!!

I 'd say it's both . Fifty-fifty if it's for myself in the end it's for others as no 1 lives and does merely for his own sake. And i kind of disagree with differentating Fine art from comissioned work. Nigh of Fine art masterpieces were commisioned work. Cocky expression as a crucial art criteria is a modern misconception. However individual style and expression are always shining through original artworks. Fifty-fifty if they are following a strict canon or convention.I believe that certain limitations in Art (like the customer'south wishes) are not roadblocks for truthful Fine art just rather a starting point. On the other manus non every comminsion can plow to be great masterpiece :). There likewise place for ordinary practiced craft. Nothing incorrect with that...

I escape with my art, if I want to go to the beach, I draw it, if I want the mean solar day to be beautiful and snowy, total of magic, I depict it...I like creating heart candy if I can...it lifts me, and, over fourth dimension, I realise, it lifts others...commercially I've lightened up as an artist and since and so I've started to sell more work, deeper darker stuff I do merely for me, as an expression, so there's my commercial self and my expressive 'permit it all out' self...it works for me

@carolinerodriguez i really connect with what you've said because honestly I go lose in the process of creation at times, it's so blissfully satisfying to see the image in your head manifest into a concrete form. And appreciation definitely pushed me on!

Ikr! Fine art is an outlet for me too, I'grand often overwhelmed by and then many emotions that when I paint, the paparazzi takes a load off me. Totally concur with what you've said as well, art feels personal to me merely at the aforementioned time it's bang-up when other people going through the aforementioned things tin can connect to information technology. @CatLee

Fine art is free energy. Be it your ain, or for others. It can be a reflection of who you are who y'all desire to be. World experiences (events, interactions with others and inspiring moments) shape our energy. You lot tin keep it for yourself or y'all tin give it to others. But its always more than fun to share, right? :)

If you ask me, and this is particularly true when y'all're starting out and still learning, get as inward as you lot can to find something that resonates with you and the world. All said, it doesn't hurt to have an audience in mind when making your art that influences the end product. If your following (yet big or small) enables you in the best mode, it doesn't hurt to give something back that they connect with. Toxic folk on the other hand? Bear witness them the door, or pull a Lou Reed's 'Metallic Machine Music' of your own making out of your magic hat to really piss them off. Succinctly put, it can be both for you and the wider world. Any works!

Art is mainly for you. Sometimes information technology'southward literally for another person because information technology's a committee or a asking merely overall you lot describe or paint or graphic design because you lot dear it. I think that art can reverberate what you desire it to. Sometimes it reflects you and sometimes information technology'due south the opposite of you. Sometimes information technology doesn't actually reverberate annihilation! Art can hateful so many things. What fine art means to me is a way to put your thoughts somewhere else. If you feel like your head is crowded and you merely can't call up directly. Describe it out and have some fun too! I have a hyper-active imagination and I sometimes struggle with it. Surprisingly I can focus extremely well on things just I think TOO much. It makes things very difficult and causes me anxiety. I only put on my headphones, play some music, and draw and everything is okay. I tin articulate my mind, I tin put down whats in my head or I tin can put down something that I wasn't even thinking about simply to relax. It's similar sketchbooks are diaries. I also love to read and that calms me a ton besides. I like to draw when I'thousand perfectly fine as well because, well...I love information technology!

If an creative person cares to sell their work or get commissions and so they have to consider the audience. This thought that "art is all about the artist" hasn't always been a matter. Well-nigh of the art nosotros know from history was created as some kind of hired work or illustration. To me it's virtually finding a rest. I work the fashion that feels natural to me, but I adjust what I draw and how I draw over time based on how people respond. A lot of artists practice that and would never admit information technology. They might not even practice information technology consciously... only allow's be honest. Who wants to make art that no one likes? I don't hateful every creative person should be Bob Ross! ...Just that art is nigh communicating with the viewer, so they have to exist considered in the procedure. Merely in the finish -- to each his own!

Fine art to me is escapism. I go to my own petty world, that is beautiful, fun and all the colors are assuming and brighter and so reality. I personally have to share my art... whether you similar it or not!!!

i think it's very personal. i make fine art for myself and dont share information technology with anyone really. infact im here just to share it with strangers, kind of anonymously, and get some feedback and discuss topics involving art and creativity. to me art is expression of some kind, but i also believe information technology doesnt accept to have a meaning, or it might not have any meaning or message to yous right at present, perhaps in the futurity it will, but basically but something you felt like doing /creating. simply at the cease of the day, as i one time heard someone say, im very grateful its not my task to define art. and also, i started painting and drawing all of a sudden and it was very therapeutic (all the same is), i become lost doing information technology and suddenly i find myself thinking about the things im dealing with atm much clearer. i think fine art is both for yourself and the earth, at times 1 or the other, but can be both, because there is protest art, art that makes you question things, that brightens up your solar day or maybe does the reverse but with a purpose. and i dont call back it necessarily defines you.

Art is how I fit into my environs. Art is how I meet new people, new friends, new opportunities. Among myself and my fellow artists, we are defined by our fine art. Our art holds all our thoughts, secrets and experiences. Our art contains us, only a tiny glimpse of who we are inside.

Art is a unique experience for every individual. I experience information technology serves the purpose of what whatsoever one person needs it to. Art is merely the act of creation so something i person doesn't see as art another may run across equally such. For me I employ information technology to improve explore myself and make sense of the world around me, but I practise also want it to show to others. However, my electric current deli director has me wanting to sell things to others, simply I really don't recollect commercial art is my forte. I think I need to focus more on what I like and selling what others may later discover they desire to purchase as long equally I am willing to sell something that I've already created.

In that location is something therapeutic most doing art. Cartoon scenes through my window has helped me through some very dark times (like now). So for me information technology'due south very personal and, similar Lara, I more often than not don't share my art with others. Subjecting my art to the critique and judgement of others is an extremely uncomfortable procedure because it's similar subjecting pieces of myself for review and comment. On i hand I don't intendance what others call up of me or my art, on the other I care very securely. Simply not sharing yourself or your art tin can atomic number 82 to feelings of isolation. And then I am looking for safety ways to get feedback and participate in discussions virtually the creative process.
